About Art Adrift
Art Adrift creates unique, handcrafted décor and artwork using driftwood, reclaimed wood and other natural and found materials. Many of our creations are one-of-a-kind and are individually designed and handmade in British Columbia, Canada.
Throughout these terms, “Art Adrift,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Art Adrift.
Handmade & Natural Materials
Part of the beauty of Art Adrift pieces is the natural character of the materials we use.
Driftwood and other natural or reclaimed materials may contain knots, cracks, weathering, nail holes, colour variations, irregular shapes, markings and other imperfections. These characteristics are intentional parts of the finished artwork and are not considered defects.
Shells, stones, barnacles and other natural or found materials may also vary in appearance and texture.
Please review all photographs, measurements and product descriptions carefully before purchasing.
One-of-a-Kind Pieces
Many Art Adrift creations are one-of-a-kind. Once a one-of-a-kind item has been sold, an identical replacement may not be available.
If we create a similar piece in the future, natural variations in the materials mean it will not be exactly the same as the original.
Product Photographs & Colours
We make every reasonable effort to photograph and describe our products accurately. However, colours and tones may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography and the screen or device you are using.
Because natural materials can look different depending on lighting and surroundings, minor variations between photographs and the actual item are not considered defects.
Prices & Payment
All prices displayed on the Art Adrift website are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.
Payment must be completed through the payment methods available at checkout.
Applicable taxes, shipping charges and any other applicable costs will be displayed during checkout where required.
Orders
Submitting an order does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.
We reserve the right to cancel or decline an order in circumstances such as an item becoming unavailable, an incorrect price being displayed, a payment problem, suspected fraud or an error in the product listing.
If we cancel an order after payment has been received, the amount paid for the cancelled item will be refunded.
Shipping & Delivery
Shipping costs and available delivery options will be displayed at checkout where applicable.
Delivery dates are estimates only. Art Adrift is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, customs, incorrect delivery information or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address.

Damaged Orders
We carefully package our handmade pieces for shipping.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact Art Adrift as soon as reasonably possible after receiving it. Please include photographs of the damaged item as well as the packaging so that we can assess what happened and determine an appropriate solution.
Because many pieces are one-of-a-kind, an identical replacement may not always be possible.
Returns & Refunds
Please review our separate Return & Refund Policy before purchasing.
Because Art Adrift products are handmade and often one-of-a-kind, the natural characteristics and variations described above are not considered defects.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any rights or remedies that you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
Decorative Use & Safety
Unless specifically stated otherwise in the product description, Art Adrift creations are intended primarily as decorative items.
Some pieces may contain natural wood, wire, nails, metal, shells, stones, barnacles, glass or other materials that may have rough, sharp, irregular or fragile surfaces.
Please handle and display items appropriately and keep them away from small children and pets where necessary.
Any hanging or mounted artwork should be installed securely using hardware appropriate for the item's weight, the wall or surface, and the intended location.
Outdoor Pieces
Some Art Adrift creations may be suitable for sheltered outdoor display when specifically described that way.
Natural wood will continue to weather and change when exposed to sunlight, moisture and changing temperatures. Fading, cracking, checking, movement and other changes to natural materials can occur over time and are part of the natural aging process.
Unless a product is specifically described as suitable for outdoor use, it should be considered an indoor decorative item.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the photographs, product descriptions, artwork, designs, branding and other original content appearing on the Art Adrift website belong to Art Adrift.
They may not be reproduced, copied, commercially used or represented as another person's work without permission.
Website Information
We try to ensure that the information on our website is accurate and current. Occasionally, however, there may be typographical errors, incorrect prices, inaccurate descriptions or other mistakes.
We reserve the right to correct errors and update information when necessary.
Privacy
Personal information collected through the Art Adrift website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Art Adrift will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use or misuse of our products or website.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version posted on the Art Adrift website at the time of purchase will apply to that purchase, subject to applicable law.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
