Hi, I’m Sheryl — the creator behind Art Adrift.
I’ve always loved collecting unique pieces of driftwood, so my journey began naturally in 2013 when I made my very first driftwood birdhouse as a housewarming gift for one of my mortgage clients (my “real-world” job). I enjoyed the process so much that I started making more for friends, family, and other clients. Before long, something wonderful happened — my phone began ringing with people wanting to order them as Christmas gifts.
And that’s how Art Adrift was born.
Since then, I’ve created more than 100 one-of-a-kind driftwood birdhouses, and my work has grown into a full collection of West Coast–inspired pieces. Today I make everything from wall hangings and critters to painted sticks, wind spinners, and other driftwood creations — each one shaped by the ocean and reimagined by hand.
Working with driftwood is my passion. It’s peaceful, grounding, and feels like meditation — good for my soul and my well-being. I hope my pieces bring that same sense of joy, calm, and coastal beauty into your home.
Thank you so much for visiting my shop and supporting handmade art. 💛
